Important parts of our schedule are lesson planing & activity development.

On January 25th we spent a couple of hours experimenting with ideas for activities.

The main activity was building a “Goemon-buro”, making a bath from a (well cleaned!) oil drum.

私たちのスケジュールの大事なところは「授業計画」&「活動開発」です。

1月25日の午前中はこうい実験的な時間になりました。

今日の活動は（よく洗った）ドラム缶から「五右衛門風呂」を作ることでした。

We considered how to explain the activity to students,

how the activity can be used to illustrate study points as well as ascertain possible problems or dangers.

We always try activities out ourselves, before trying to get students to do them!

While the water was heating we took the chance to try-out other activities.

活動を生徒たちにどういう風に説明したらいいか、どんな勉強につながるか、

どういう問題や危険性がありそうかを考えました。

今回、お風呂のお湯ができるまで時間もあったので別の活動も試しました。

School Principal Matsubara & Mr. Hatano made a board to stand on in the bath:

松原校長と端野先生がお風呂の底に置くボードを作りました。

Ms. Geji, burned letters onto wood to make a sign using natural materials.

下司先生が文字を焼いて、自然な素材で庭の看板を作りました。

そして、この寒い日に、勇気がある難波先生は五右衛門風呂に入ってみました！
